Almost a thousand grrrls have graduated from Write like a Grrrl! Here is what some of those brilliant graduates have to say…
Editor at Wildseed Magazine
After learning about craft, commitment and the importance of a writing routine, my confidence increased exponentially; so much so that I was able to apply for – and win – a scholarship to study an MA in creative writing.
Thanks to Kerry Ryan and her life-affirming courses, I’ve co-founded a women’s only writer’s group, been published in a couple of journals and heard my work performed live. I’m also exploring options for a PhD in creative writing. None of this would have been possible without WLAG. But despite these achievements, I’m most proud to be a member of such a wonderful, supportive community of women writers, with enduring friendships like wow. Write Like A Grrrl for life!
Copywriter and creative
Write Like A Grrrl has been one of the best investments I’ve made in myself and my writing. The tutors are fantastic and their unique blend of humour, tenderness and writerly knowledge makes the workshops totally unlike any other I’ve been to.
Being connected to a group of like-minded women who also love books and writing has also been an absolute gamechanger, as even when I’m not working on something I still feel like I’ve got my hand in the world of writing. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

WLAG is one of the best things I’ve ever signed up for. I went from doing all my writing in my head to actually getting it out into the world and finally being able to improve. I’m not the biggest fan of group activities in general, but WLAG is a special thing – supportive and funny and seems to attract great people.
The tutors are amazing and I came away feeling encouraged and lit up in a way that spilled over into every area of my life. It’s affordable and inclusive in a way that I don’t think most other writing courses are. And thanks to WLAG I’ve now written 25k words of a novel 1st draft, which is 25k words more than I’d Ever written before… TLDR: I can’t really say enough good things about this course and I think you should do it.
